MY BELIEF IN YOU
I don't know your story yet and you have no reason to trust me. These two statements are true and yet I know you are capable of extraordinary things. In each of us are unique and divine abilities that should be shared with the world either through relationships, what brings meaning to our life, how we provide for those we love, or in how we design our life to become who we desire to be.
HOW I KNOW
In October of 2022 I was walking a dirt road outside my family's property on the Big Island of Hawaii. For weeks I was contemplating who I was and who I wanted to become after my divorce, for the second time, from the same woman.
One day the thought came to my mind "You are a son of God". It hit me like a bolt of lightning. But the next question hit me even harder "If this is true, then what?"
This was the start to my own personal journey to grow and change my behaviors to become the man I am at peace with today, but have not yet completed becoming the man I have begun to design for myself.
There is a passage in Marianne Williamson’s book A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles (1992):
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
I truly believe this message with all my soul. Within each of us is a light that needs to be used to serve the world. Often our fear is having the courage to be vulnerable enough to find it, develop it, and share it with others.
Sovereign Design was created in order to assist and inspire others to utilize their agency and use it to bring about their most brilliant, strong, talented, and meaningful light within themselves. My hope is that YOU find the courage to do exactly that.
